Practice this regularly, especially during times of heightened Pitta imbalance or when you feel stressed or overheated. It can help calm the mind and body.
Steps:
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position, ensuring your spine is straight and your body is relaxed.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. With each breath, imagine a cool, calming energy entering your body and spreading throughout.
Visualize yourself in a serene, cool environment, such as lush, green forest with a gentle breeze. Feel the coolness of the air against your skin and the calming effect it has on your body and mind.
Visualize a body of water such as a calm lake, or a flowing stream. Imagine yourself dipping your feet into the cool water, feeling its soothing effect on your body.
Visualize a cool, calming color, such as light blue or green, surrounding you and filling you with a sense of peace and tranquility.
As you continue to breathe deeply and visualize, imagine any excess heat or tension in your body being released with each time you exhale, leaving you feeling cool, calm, and balanced.
Repeat a calming affirmation to yourself, like 'Om Shanti'.
When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Take a few more deep breaths before opening your eyes.
