A seated twist asana, this helps improve digestion and release tension in the spine. With regular practice of this asana you can balance your prakriti.
Steps:
Start by sitting on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you.
Bend your knees and shift your weight to the right buttock, then swing your legs to the left and sit on the floor.
Keep your knees together and your feet pointing to the left.
Inhale and lengthen your spine, lifting through the crown of your head.
As you exhale, twist your torso to the right, placing your left hand on the outside of your right thigh and your right hand on the floor behind you.
Keep your spine long as you twist, avoiding collapsing your chest.
Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute, breathing deeply.
To release, inhale and slowly unwind from the twist, then repeat on the other side.
