that is required to convert sugar, starches and few other foods into energy.
Diabetes mellitus is characterised by constant high level of blood glucose

energy for the cells that make up the muscles and tissues, it is also important
for the development of the brain. But human body has to maintain the blood glucose to a
very narrow range.Too much glucose can lead to serious health problems.

Diabetes can impede a persons
carefree life. When breakdown of glucose is stopped completely the body uses
fat and protein for producing energy. Desired blood sugar of human body should
be between 70mg/dl at fasting state. If blood sugar is less than 70mg/dl, it is
termed as hypoglycaemia and more that 110mg/dl it is termed a hyperglycaemia.

teenage years. Patients with type 1 diabetes will need to take insulin
injections for the rest of their life. They must also ensure proper
blood-glucose levels by carrying out regular blood tests and following a
special diet.

In case of Type 2 diabetes, the
body does not produce enough insulin for proper function, or the cells in the
body do not react to insulin, most of the diabetic people suffer from this type
of diabetes. Some people may be able to control their type 2 diabetes signs by
losing weight, taking a healthy diet, by
exercising, and monitoring their blood glucose levels. However, type 2 diabetes
