Ayurveda believes that human beings and nature
should be in perfect harmony and that disease occurs when the equilibrium
between these two is disrupted. Restoration of this fundamental balance,
through the use of nature and its products is the main goal of this medical
system. The concept is not just on curing bodily ailments but also on preventing
it.

Ayurveda explains that humans like the whole
Universe are made up of each of the five elements – air space, fire, water and
earth as well as the soul. In other words the body is a microcosm of the
Universe. These elements in their biological form make up the three doshas. The
mass of body, sense organs, mind and soul is called as life. Maintaining the
balanced state of dosha’s, body, mind and soul and removal of diseases is the main
aim of ayurveda.

Ayurveda
treatments
are person
specific rather than disorder specific. The age of the patient, the climate in
which he lives, his cultural and social surroundings and his bodily
constitution are taken into account before offering a prognosis. Touch, inspection and interrogation are the main tools of diagnosis. Then the
physician emphasizes a regimen of diet with the use of herbal medicines. Herbs
are used to eliminate excesses and strengthen deficiencies. The primary ayurvedic treatment method is to
stimulate particular organic functions with the help of various forms of
ayurvedic massages. Thus Ayurveda aims to solve many health problems, only
through the adjustment of diet and therapeutic massages -so there are no
distressing side effects. Such an approach has proven effective over the
centuries and has today become an internationally acclaimed form of healing,
rejuvenation and healthy living.

Ayurvedic treatment
methods
do not aim
towards suppressing the main symptoms of an ailment and creating some new ones
as side effects of the main treatment. The main aim of Ayurveda treatment  is to
remove the root cause of the ailment and provide permanent relief.

There are four main classifications of management of disease
in Ayurveda: shodan, or cleansing; shaman or palliation; rasayana, or
rejuvenation; and satvajaya, or mental hygiene.

The treatment methods mainly contains of powders, tablets,
decoctions, massages with medicated oils and powders all prepared from natural
herbs, plants and minerals. Since the medicines are all from natural sources
and not synthetic, they are easily accepted and assimilated in the body without
generating any side effects instead there are alays some or other benefit to
the body.

In the Ayurvedic
treatment method
along with medicine, proper diet, exercise and living
style is also recommended. Following this regime  is equally important. If you are taking a ayurvedic
medicine or therapy to remove the root cause of a disease but are not following
the prescribed diet, lifestyle and exercise
regime then you will never be able to get the complete benefit of the
ayurvedic treatment.

The Ayurvedic Treatment
methods include
:

Dietary Regimen: – Proper selection of diet is necessary to
avoid dosha imbalance and is also used as a treatment in many diseases.

important role in the treatment in disease.

Panch Karma: This therapy is also used as a treatment in many
diseases. This “panchkarma” or Five Step internal cleansing method, is
one of the most profound therapy in Ayurveda.

principles. The Ayurvedic approach to an illness is holistic and therefore the
Ayurvedic treatment methods makes a person feel rejuvenated and improved in the
physical, mental and psychological state. Ayurveda
