Navjyoti India Foundation is a non-profit organization conceived by Dr. Kiran Bedi, the first Indian woman IPS, that aims to prevent crime through welfare policing. It was initiated in the year 1987 and since then it has been working towards the benefit and development of the society. After 30 years of persistent service, Navjyoti now works under three broad programs- Child Education, Skill Up Graduation and Community Development.
What Navjyoti is all about?
The 3S Model of Child Education at Navjyoti looks far beyond academics and believes in moulding young minds into dynamic and holistic development individuals through Shiksha (Education), Sanskaar (Values) and Skills.
Their Skill Up-Gradation Program prepares self-reliant youth who can contribute towards the nation’s growth. They do this through specialized sill training programs based on our 4C model for creating competent, compassionate and conscientious change makers.
The sole aim of the Community Development Program is the upliftment of the community at all levels. They are building leadership capacities and creating responsible community through women empowerment programs, family-community counselling programs and environmental intervention.
Social Contributions of Kairali
Kairali Ayurvedic Group, a 100-year-old Ayurvedic Company, established in the year 1908, has been continuously contributing their part to the development and up-gradation of the society. It has been delivering the true essence of Ayurveda and Yoga since its birth and making people aware of its goodness. Kairali specifically took into consideration the Child Education Program of Navjyoti India Foundation wherein it has sponsored the education for ten of its children and also contributed all the amenities required for a child to study. The contributions made by Kairali towards the development of the society-has benefited many needy and downtrodden people who got a second chance to prove their worth and also to make a living out of it. The children whose education were sponsored got a chance to live their dreams and mould their lives as per their aspirations and desires. This remedial education program makes it possible for children to be educated-in addition to upgrading their skills and personal hobbies. The social responsibilities that Kairali undertakes are of immense public interest that helps to empower women to lead the society, educate children to build a better future and also for environmental sustenance. Kairali thus proves to be one who wants the world to be a better place to survive.
